Yesterday I had to talk to the police after school. Aunt Harry went with me. They kept asking me the same questions, over and over, and it got very tiresome. Had I stayed at home all evening? Was I upset about flunking Mr. Roberts's English class? I told them yes, I had, and tried to tell them about my pendulum, but they wouldn't listen at all. ( Read more... )

I can't believe they did that! Are you even tall enough to reach his head, much less hit it with a cannonball or bowling ball or whatever it was?

They talked to me today, but not for very long, probably because I'm not in any of his classes.

He's not all that tall, but I can't see why I'd want to. Even if I failed his class (and he didn't say I was) I'm getting good grades in everything else, so they couldn't kick me out.

It was a cannonball--a small one, probably about the size of a grapefruit, from what Aphra said. If I did have a cannonball, I don't think I'd waste time hitting people with it when I could use it in experiments instead.

You'd think if they were smart enough to spy on our journals, they'd be smart enough to realize that no one had any motive...

I think the problem is they're pretty much at a loose end. They're not exactly clueless, in the literal sense, but none of the clues has led anywhere useful yet. It sounds like they're just beating the bushes in the hopes that something will jump out that they can fall on with cries of triumph ( ... )

Hey, I tried the homonym thing in my journal too. You don't mind, do you? Because some bastards are saying I'm doing it to be mean and cruel, but I'm just doing it because it looks like fun. So, it's nothing personal, I just thought it looked like fun. That's okay with you, right?
