Pretty. New. Laptop.
I am in loooooooooove with my new laptop! It has the new OS Installed on it and it's got a glossy screen and a built in iSight. The keyboard is a bit weird to get used to, but it'll be second nature soon. Sadly, my old laptop died today after being revived for an hour so Jason could grab all my files off it. Packing, again
Tomorrow Jason and I leave for Chicago. I am sicker than sick. Plans for the evening include: calling Aviva to firm up plans, calling my dad to cry and get upset at his lack of parenting skills, packing while watching new tv/doing laundry, and being happy that I am the luckiest person on earth. -
Having one of those days
I've been really depressed lately, hence the lack of writing. Going to Canada to meet Jason's family went really well. Going to NYC was hectic and alien. I start feeling this way every few days--I'm fine and then all of a sudden it smacks me in the face that I could be almost finished with my degree now. I could be living in a city I love. I should be packing...
Jason and I are leaving for the airport at 6am tomorrow and I haven't packed yet. We're going to Canada for two days and then to New York until the 29th. I can't wait to see my friends and my mom, but most of all, I can't wait to take the subway! And to go to Times Square, and be in the Bronx. I miss Dominicans so much. Leaving work tonight I breathed in the most crystal clear winter breath of air I've ever experienced in my life. So beautiful. -
Mixed Emotions
I miss posting on LJ. The other day I was crying in bed with Jason about how miserable I've been and he told me that I need to start reading and writing. I loved him just then for knowing me and understanding how I work. UGGGHHHH! OMG I miss NYC!! Today I saw a picture of Times Sqaure and my heart physically hurt. I'm glad I moved to San Francisco because it's made me realize how awesome and totally unlike anywhere else NYC is, but I've already started counting the days until my Americorps service is over. 306, people. Breaking up with NYC
I finally finished boxing up 85% of my stuff and taking it to the post office today. Every time I feel like I've gotten all the packing done and everything is finished, something else comes up and it's like a whole other box is created.
