Root Canal Phase 1

Well, I survived an hour in the Dentist's chair today getting the first phase of the root treatment done. I wouldn't say it was an entirely pain free procedure. I had what the dentist called "A hot pulp" and that has nothing to do with the kind of fiction that I write. LOL.

Ouch. I agree, that is a unique and very intense pain. I hope you're feeling a little better, and that you can sort of feel your face by now. Drugs are good.

Oh, ghod. I had that done years ago (and the good part is that the tooth is still in place and functioning). The bad part--it was so infected my chin looked like a small pumpkin until the antibiotics kicked in.

And it hurt like hell. I wish medical/dental people would just say, "This is going to be intensely painful for about thirty seconds--take deep breaths and hang on, it will go away." At least you'd know what to expect! "Quite sore" is like "discomfort," ie, a damned lie.

I was at the dentist last Thursday ... two very small fillings and a bill for $205 :/

That sounds like a horrible dentist experience :(
