Bicycling and gaming
We started the day with WOW. Once my character was leveled up to a 12(and Gorlita took her first gryphon ride), we ran errands.
We biked all over town: city hall (to update an alien registration card for spacealien_vamp), the craft store for sewing supplies, the pharmacy for ointment for my boo-boo from yesterday, the school to show the proof that the visa was ( Read more... ) -
Kyoto flea market
After leveling my new player up to 9 4/5 in WOW,we went to Kyoto. We were going to go earlier, but it was raining. The weather worked out perfectly for us when we did go.
It was a very quick run through the flea market. Nevertheless, we were able to find some bargains and some good stuff as late as we were. For $40 we got 11 kimono and one obi ( Read more... ) -

Day 2 in Japan
I got to try a solo walk this morning. I found my way to the grocery store and back. I didn't get lost!
Then spacealien_vamp set me up with a character, Gorlita, on the World of Warcraft. I'm really bad at it. It is so scary. I couldn't even control where I was going. spacealien_vamp was very patient and let me practice. I got better, but still have ( Read more... ) -

Today was kind of a fun day. Clara, Elda, and I went shopping for a car for Elda. First we went to show Clara the Chevy Cobalt we looked at last Saturday, but the salesman was busy. Saturday after running errands, like doing the recycle and shopping, I met with some members of the Lenawee International Club, and we set up some Japanese articles for display in the show window of the public library as well as in the showcase inside the library. I can't believe I spent the whole day in front of the TV! I had ordered some "math courses" on DVD from The Teaching Company. Just in case I might end up teaching some math this coming school year, I wanted to see how some of the "country's best" teachers present stuff.
