Thank you guys so much for the birthday wishes and the little snowflake gifties! I feel pretty warm and fuzzy to think I am not completely forgotten on livejournal despite having been away so long. YAY, I'm glad it was amazing! I look forward to hearing about it.

Good luck to your mom and you. Things Hoss liked to do around that age: playdoh (store or homemade), baking muffins from mixes, step in puddles, fingerpaint in the bathtub, paint sticks or leaves or pottery, play with his tea set or anything pouring water back and forth, fill a small tupperware with dried beans or rice and play in it OUTSIDE, climb on stuff. He could pretend a little at that age, but not too much yet, I don't think. Putting people in the block houses and pretending to be birds was about the extent of it.

Great suggestions, thank you! So far we've tried making muffins and fingerpainting in the bath (necessary, after the muffins!) and he loved them both.
