Yesterday I discovered Hulu.com and watched the ER episode from last Thursday online. On my laptop. From the couch. It would have been nice to sit outside on the deck and resurrect the Redneck Drive In, but it was a little too windy for the fireplace.

Ya'll should check out Hulu.com. They gots cool stuff.

Someone at the park had way too much fun messing around with the sign on the bathroom door, so I had to take a picture of it.

It's interesting to watch how much fun four cats can have with a cardboard box and a handful of catnip.

We watched the shuttle launch from our driveway here at Casa de Bird and this time the view was incredible. There was a little cloud cover, but it served to amplify the orange glow and we could plainly see the booster rockets fall away. Everyone on our street came out to oooohh and aaaaah and it's hard to believe that we're almost 200 miles away ( Read more... )

I wasn't feeling all that well today and wanted to make something easy for dinner, so I started a crockpot full of chicken spaghetti made from what I thought was leftover frozen spaghetti sauce and two cooked shredded chicken breasts. Fox 13 keeps advertising a segment that's going to be on tonight's news about a woman and her surgery nightmare. She was paralyzed by the anesthetic, but it didn't numb the pain and she could feel everything but couldn't move or speak to let anyone know what was happening.

I don't need to see this. Make it go away!!

I went to the doctor today.

It’s an incision hernia and runs the entire length of the old incision. I go see another surgeon on the 17th.

This is most sucktacular.

I think I have a hernia. There's an extremely large lump right next to my incision site and it's getting larger daily. Today I was alarmed enough to plan on calling the surgeon as soon as he opens on Monday. It doesn't hurt at all, but if it begins to bother me, I'll have to drag my happy self to the emergency room.

Shit.
