Prologue 1 2 3 Chapter 4
Once he had finished his dancing with his fiancée he didn’t want anything else but to interact with Jaejoong. After their first dance it hadn’t been long until the whole room was filled with dancing and smiles, and large dresses flowing all over the floor. Finding Jaejoong in this mess wouldn’t be easy, but who was Yunho to give up when he knew how he must be feeling? Being so left out by his family and momentarily Yunho when he knew that all Jaejoong wanted was some time to be talked to and noticed. Maybe that was how he had so easily gotten him for himself. He was vulnerable, and still he insisted on how much his family would miss him. Insecurity worked in weird ways with him, and in the end, it came down to his love for the family-not the other way around.
This was the only weakness he had-the need to be loved. Whereas Yunho had only ever gotten it from Jaejoong, he had never felt that until he fell in love. Now he knew what he felt, and he knew he could never live without it or without him.
He tried his hardest to search without seeming suspicious, and if anyone asked he was just searching for another glass of champagne for Joo-Eun. After minutes of not finding him he was getting impatient and annoyed-what was with him and his disappearances tonight? Once again he moved out of the ballroom to search the rest of the house. A slight noise from the lobby froze his legs and he could feel wrinkles on his forehead deepen.
He decided to go look, because who else would it be if not Jaejoong? He breathed out a sigh of relief when he recognized the familiar black hair. A dissatisfied rumble echoed in his chest once he realised what was going on-another guy was embracing his Jaejoong. He couldn’t be called a man because he knew exactly who it was. Donghae, Jaejoong’s best friend. His touchy best friend with arms all over Jaejoong. He shouldn’t be the one to complain, and maybe it was karma that came back to bite him in the ass, but seeing him like that hurt. He knew he was jealous, especially since Jaejoong was the only thing that had ever really been his. Also the only thing that had ever meant anything to him.
“Excuse me.”
The two boys seemed startled and immediately broke apart. When they saw that it was only him, Jaejoong relaxed and pulled his friend closer again, while Donghae just seemed nervous and apologetic. Donghae was the only one who knew about their relationship. Jaejoong had told him about his crush on Yunho, and eventually that they were together. Yunho had been furious, yelling and causing a huge commotion for an hour with Jaejoong tearing up and apologizing over and over again, assuring him that Donghae would never leak it. Yunho had never met Donghae back then, but by now he was quite sure that Jaejoong was right, and if he wasn’t he’d gladly break a few bones.
“What is it?” Jaejoong was the first to speak and he couldn’t say that he liked the slight attitude in his voice. Not that he minded Jaejoong talking back, it was just that he rarely did, and when he did he was feeling pretty low. Of course Yunho was feeling guilty for making Jaejoong watch him being so close to his sister, but he really had no choice.
“What’s the matter?”
“What do you mean?”
Yunho took a step closer, holding his gaze with Jaejoong’s piercing eyes. Soon enough they softened, and when his lower lip started trembling Yunho could only hold his arms out and call out a ‘come here’. Jaejoong didn’t take long to let go of his friend to half run into Yunho’s embrace. He sniffled against the warm skin on Yunho’s neck, feeling his façade break down with every stroke of Yunho’s hands. Yunho slightly angled his head to his right, telling Donghae to leave them alone.
“Come on, baby,” he murmured into his hair, the strands blowing from his breath. He led them both out the door, the gravel crunching underneath their soles as they walked away from the house. He was holding tight around Jaejoong’s waist and didn’t stop walking until he was sure no one could possibly spot them from the house. Jaejoong used the back of his hand to wipe underneath his eyes, sniffing one last time with a heavy breath.
“I’m sorry. I’m so stupid… crying because you’re dancing with my noona.” He smiled slightly, but Yunho kept his sad face intact.
“Don’t say that. You have nothing to be sorry about.” It was true, nothing of this was Jaejoong’s fault. It was all Yunho; Jaejoong was just suffering from the sidelines. “And dancing, if you haven’t noticed…” he stepped forward, closing any room of air between them to crush Jaejoong’s beautiful body against his own. No matter how many curves he lacked in comparison to Joo-Eun he was still softer in his hold. He leaned down, kissing the shell of his ear as he whispered the end of his sentence, “is quite intimate…” He seized the small hand in his own, holding it securely before slowly moving their bodies together like so many times before. They had no music, but this slow dance was not to sate their bodies of the natural enjoyment dancing brought. This was to share their closeness with each other.
Jaejoong’s lips were grazing his collarbone, a maddening act that tickled his skin and his self control. He was so delicate, but so tempting. Dancing with him was like twirling the stem of a flower between your fingertips. He moved any way Yunho wanted him to move, beautiful colours and a sweet scent tempting his senses, while the foundation holding him up twirled magically and fast in his hold. The hold was solid, but the dance was fleeting and light.
“Now, why were you crying? I know it wasn’t only because of a simple dance. Especially one that didn’t even mean anything to me.” Jaejoong looked up into his eyes, immediately catching that shining sparkle of adoration he had remembered before.
“I just… have a lot of things bottled up and…” He closed his eyes, unable to continue for a few seconds when Yunho leaned down to kiss his nose and the smooth line around his lips. He let out a final shuddering breath before he opened them again, Yunho’s amused smile meeting him.
“Sorry, just had to see if that still worked.” Jerk, he knew he could barely even breathe when he did that to him. His stomach was still bubbling of emotions and the butterflies Yunho caused were not helping him get rid of it all.
“I’m going to burst one day if you do it so unexpectedly,” he complained softly, but knew he’d get his revenge later on. He knew all of Yunho’s weak spots, just like he knew Jaejoong’s. Yunho’s neck was a place he could always get a quick response from.
“Mm, you’re sexy when you burst.” Yunho smirked, leaning down again to nuzzle his neck with his nose. “You smell good too.” He sniffed a bit more and growled lightly when Jaejoong took the opportunity to kiss a light trail on his neck. “Watch your mouth young man or I’m going for the nipples next.”
“Did you have too much wine again?” Jaejoong teased and left a quick bite on his jaw. He got a shake of the head as an answer before Yunho finally pulled away from his neck.
“No, but what the hell do you have in your cologne? Aphrodisiac?” Jaejoong laughed quietly, their flowing hips still moving on their own.
“Don’t blame the cologne because you’re horny.”
“I’m not horny, I’m romantic and I want you. That’s a whole other different thing.” It wasn’t like he could be blamed for the way his blood flowed. They hadn’t made love in forever and being so intimately pressed against Jaejoong’s solid body was like someone hit him on the head with Aphrodite’s hammer (if there now even was such a thing).
Jaejoong hummed. “Sure it is.” He pecked the protesting lips, and soon the quarrel was forgotten. They kept dancing for a while. Jaejoong’s head rested comfortably on the broad shoulder and he really couldn’t help but to wonder why it took him so much time to realise that he was gay.
“Now tell me. Why were you crying?” Jaejoong sighed, not really knowing how to answer this.
“I guess I just realised that… You’re very important to me, and if I’m not careful I could lose you.” He could feel tears building up again but he fought them down and swallowed. “I’ve had such a hard time choosing, and I really don’t know what to do anymore. I really do love you so much, but leaving my home is hard for me, Yunho. And… I guess I’m just mad at myself for taking so much time, and for making you wait. I know the choice should be easy-it is easy.”
“So then you saw me dancing with her and just felt like the wrong choice would cost you everything?” Jaejoong nodded, not so astonished by the way Yunho knew him like he had raised him himself. He was used to it by now.
“Baby…” Yunho sighed and kissed the top of his head, eyes gazing upwards through the trees as he took some deep breaths. “I’m sorry. I know I’m putting you in an unfair position, but you told me yourself that I’m being too unselfish sometimes. I’m just as confused as you are, if you would deny me I really don’t know what to do. I want to stay, but then at the same time I don’t. It would be easier to just stay away from you than to live here with you but be married to someone else. Besides, it wouldn’t be fair to you.” It really was all up to Jaejoong’s decision now, and he couldn’t deny that it was a hard one, just like it was easy. He knew who he loved; he just didn’t know what the right thing was to do. A drop on his forehead interrupted his thoughts, and he blinked and set his gaze upwards.
“Are you crying?”
“No?”
“Then what-” Ten more drops hitting his clothes and one riding down Yunho’s nose made it obvious. “It’s raining.” Yunho only smiled and drew Jaejoong closer. He was not planning on going inside anytime soon.
“It’s just water; you’ve been rained with worse.” He laughed when Jaejoong rolled his eyes at the joke.
“Very funny.”
“Well, at least this isn’t salty and sticky. Don’t know what you prefer though, you seemed happier by the other downfall.”
Jaejoong raised an accusing eyebrow and crossed his arms. “You’re seeing it in your head, aren’t you?”
“And it’s a lovely sight.” Jaejoong had a strong urge to elbow him in the stomach but refrained from doing so. Instead he snuggled in under Yunho’s arm and listened to the droplets smashing against the leaves and stems of the forest’s plants. Yunho took a deep happy breath and reached his hands out to ruffle Jaejoong’s strands of soft raven hair turning wetter by the minute. “Smells like rain… Wonderful, isn’t it?” Jaejoong didn’t say anything, but he agreed. The rain hitting stones and dirt gave off the refreshing scent they both adored, and standing in the middle of the green forest was incredibly calming.
Yunho was the next to speak and he adjusted their bodies properly to pick up their dance. “Let me dip you.” He smiled brightly and Jaejoong found himself agreeing. The clouds melted down on them from the sky, cold but harmless rain doing wonders for his headache. The downfall was quiet but heavy and Jaejoong’s eyes shyly diverted downwards while they danced. Yunho was everything he had always wanted. Handsome, gentle, strong, loving. Maybe it was quite easy after all.
“…Wednesday. Let’s meet Wednesday.” Yunho stopped dancing and looked down into Jaejoong’s face. Their surroundings were blurry, the rain making it harder to see. But he saw Jaejoong perfectly, just like Jaejoong could finally see clearly.
“Are you sure?” His question was quiet and slightly scared of an answer, but his stomach swirled and twirled in its own dance of happiness.
“I don’t know about you, but I’d say I’d have a pretty hard time finding a girl that would dip me in the rain.” It took some time, but finally Yunho laughed, twirling Jaejoong in his arms before fiercely kissing him. Rain had never smelled better, and Jaejoong’s kiss had never been fresher. Before they knew it the passion they had danced with minutes ago came back, and neither could help themselves.
They stumbled high and madly through the rain, lips kissing and sucking like it was the rain they wanted, like they were dying of thirst. Yunho’s hands were everywhere, tearing at Jaejoong’s clothes and tasting his skin. They panted heavily, just like the way the rain hit them hard and soaked them. Yunho was so handsome, towering above him, want and desire shining and radiating even from his dark eyelashes, and the next thing he knew he was pressed up against an unfamiliar cart parked metres away from the house.
No one would notice them, and the excitement, love and the way Jaejoong’s nipples just screamed at him through the see-through cotton was enough for him to tear the door open and help his lover inside. Jaejoong smiled and sat down on the seat while Yunho closed the door and released the curtains from their hold beside the windows.
He crawled up in front of the dark haired man, his wet tresses shoved away with his fingers. Jaejoong’s eyes scanned the inside before finding Yunho’s face again.
“In here? Are you sure?” Yunho just nodded and attacked his lips again.
“I’m sure. Very, very sure.” He pulled away, realising that maybe the smaller man was uncomfortable with it. “I want you, Jaejoong. But not enough to force you.”
He shook his head and wrapped a cold arm around Yunho’s neck. “You’re not forcing me. Now come on.” Their lips mashed together, tongues gliding smoothly against each other, sending unbearable tingles down their spines to curl their toes. Jaejoong threw his leg over Yunho’s thighs, straddling the man as they kissed. Yunho took the bait and sucked his neck while his hands fumbled and got rid of the clothes covering Jaejoong’s upper body.
“Shit,” he cussed, feeling wet spots forming in his underwear. This time the rain wasn’t the cause of those. “You’re beautiful, damned beautiful.” Jaejoong was shaking slightly from the cold, but he could barely even feel it. Yunho’s mouth licked and kissed his freezing skin tenderly, the tip of his tongue circling his nipple until it got impossibly erect. Only then did he allow it into his mouth, sucking it while he prepared the other one with his skilled thumb. Jaejoong’s moans were killing him, his sweet voice practically singing out his pleasure for his ears only. Short nails dug into the back of his neck. It felt all too good. Yunho’s mouth and hands on his body was home.
Yunho pulled away only slightly, gazing at the smooth torso. Then the two hard nubs standing out, the lines of his ribs and the dip of his navel. Too perfect, and way too tempting.
“I’m going crazy…” Jaejoong half growled, doing his best at getting rid of Yunho’s shirt. Yunho smirked and lifted his arms up so that he could successfully pull it off and throw it away somewhere in a dark corner. He didn’t care, his hands all too busy with feeling and grabbing the familiar, sexy tanned chest in front of him.
Oh, the times his own had been rubbing against it while his hips had worked up and down on Yunho’s hardness. He licked his lips, both from the sight and the memory. Delicious. Just like the tremors in his body that came with the reminiscing of having Yunho’s warmth and wetness filling him. Him and only him.
-----------------------------------------
The rain was chattering softly down on the roof-the once heavy puffs of air had now calmed down into a regular rhythm. The air was warm and stuffy inside the cart, the windows foggy enough to leave prints onto. Jaejoong was resting comfortably on Yunho’s arm while the long fingers played with his black messy hair. Their parents would be furious because of their disappearance, but really, who cared? They’d be long gone soon anyway.
Jaejoong smiled and turned to lie on his side, his smiling face looking right at Yunho’s. Yunho angled his head to look back and raised his eyebrow. “What?” he laughed out, resting his head on his hand when he turned to mimic Jaejoong’s pose next to him.
Jaejoong just shrugged and subtly stroked Yunho’s chest with his palm. “Nothing, just thinking.”
“Okay. About?”
“Nothing in specific. Just you.” Yunho smiled and grabbed Jaejoong’s hand when it fell to rest on the seat again. He kissed his knuckles and lightly rubbed it against his cheek. Jaejoong pressed it closer, loving how his cheek could be both smooth and rough at the same time.
“Like always, huh?” he teased and his lips turned up into a thin smile, cheeks blowing up into two cute round globes. Jaejoong loved that smile. It wasn’t a smile of politeness that he always showed no matter who was talking to him; it was Jaejoong’s smile, and he felt the warm honey making itself known in his stomach once again, reminding him of how much he loved him. He crawled closer, neck stretching to plant a soft unexpected kiss on Yunho’s lips.
“Love you…” A lean hand came up to stroke Jaejoong’s hair out of his face, and he closed his eyes to feel his warm palm against his forehead.
“We should get back.” Jaejoong opened his eyes again, not liking those words. He frowned and let his body drop down on the seat again and snuggled closer to Yunho’s body.
“No.”
“Yes, baby.” The hand came back again to massage his scalp and he moaned. “We’ve already been gone far too long. We have to.”
Jaejoong pouted and grabbed a hold of the bicep keeping Yunho’s head up. “I’m going to pluck your armpit hair if I hear those words from you again.”
Yunho wiggled away but seconds later dropped himself on top of Jaejoong. He groaned in protest, the weight pressing on his torso cutting off his oxygen for a second. He looked up, Yunho’s eyes staring right down into his and he closed his eyes for a ticklish Eskimo kiss. A real kiss followed, tongue teasing his slightly parted lips until they opened up completely to join the searching tongue. Jaejoong pressed his chest closer to Yunho’s. His nubs hardened when rubbed against Yunho’s slick skin and Yunho had to pull back when Jaejoong started to moan.
“Don’t do that. You’re going to get me hard again,” Yunho complained half-heartedly. He did mean what he said but he had to admit it took a lot from him to actually tell Jaejoong to stop moaning.
“So don’t kiss me then.” Yunho sighed and pulled himself up into a sitting position. The sight of his naked body was hidden by the dark, but it didn’t stop Jaejoong from imagining it. He knew that body like his own.
“You’re right. Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry. The day you stop I’ll give you a reason to be sorry.” He climbed up behind him, kissing a gentle trail of appreciation from his ear down to his shoulder. Yunho didn’t know whether to enjoy it or to be annoyed with Jaejoong for getting him in the mood again. On the other hand, maybe it was himself he should be annoyed with. That every loving gesture that came from Jaejoong stirred something inside of him that in this (and many) cases made him want to push the man down and do things to him. Things that would make him question if his body’s anatomy was right-if it really was possible for him to feel as good as he did.
A low thud over their heads made them quiet. The impact had been smooth, but heavy enough to rattle the cart and them into a standstill. Their eyes searched upwards, both certain that whatever had shaken them was still there. Jaejoong held onto Yunho’s arm, drawing his eyes to his face. He was about to speak and Yunho noticed, clamping a firm hand over Jaejoong’s mouth. He drew quiet breaths, his first instinct leading his memory back to the night in Jaejoong’s mansion. The claw marks on the window… Maybe this was connected.
The wood creaked from the weight moving over them, but whatever it was it was smooth enough to not leave any clear noises of footsteps. A slow, drawn-out hiss echoed, making Jaejoong crawl closer until he was firmly pressed against Yunho’s warm chest. The sound was frightening, although none of them could say why. It certainly didn’t sound like something a harmless animal would let out. Only that simple fact was enough to make Jaejoong shake and Yunho hold him closer. It was loud-loud enough to wake up anything sleeping, travel to the treetops and back down into their ears. Distant, but close. Low, but ear piercing loud. It started as a boiling rumble in its chest. A new sound then emerged and flew into the night. It lasted for a second and not long after muscles tensed and it curled up before letting go and jumping off, leaving no trace of its former presence behind.
A/N: Uh-ohhh what could it possibly be on that roof? :O :O
