This is sort of stream-of-conscious-y and it might be incoherent, but hopefully you'll all dig it anyway.

a long-winded account of the taping and how i might have potentially influenced a part of the second 'we the mediator' bit )

He said he hadn't had any formal vocal training, and by that I'm assuming no formal *singing* training, because yes, at Northwestern he had to have had just basic voice training for theater. And that technique must help while he sings.

And unless I am remembering incorrectly (or this is wishful thinking), I believe he launched into the first part of "I Write The Songs" by--oh boy--Barry Manilow. (HAHA!)

I know, it's ridiculous. I was just blown away seeing him work up close. He's a nonstop ball of energy, he is.

Wow! How very, very cool. I am excited that Colbert is showing us Indians some love.. after all, there is only a billion of us :) Also, you met both SRK and Bachan AND got awesome pictures? *jaw drops* (not to mention meeting and interacting with Stephen)

I believe you may be living my fantasy life.

Yeah, that fall when I did the extra thing (I kind of stumbled upon a casting call that was circulating around on Craigslist and some other places) was probably the most surreal experience ever. I sort of couldn't believe it was happening.

And yeah, I'm totally happy to see Colbert giving Indians some love as well! When he made the crack about "Who says I don't have a Hindu audience" during the second "We the Mediator" bit I couldn't stop laughing. It was just too good. :-)

OH MY GOD. I would KILL to watch Stephen dancing like Shah Rukh Khan, and then I would die (I LOVED him in Dil Se). :)

Chaiyya Chaiyya, where SRK dances atop a moving train, remains my favorite moment in cinema (Indian or Western) ever. AAAAHHHH I love it.
