I should not have to get out of bed to mail things. They should just not need mailing. Particularly if the mailing amounts to me paying to do an audition.
Haven't done that in a while...

A few weeks back, one of Newfie's classmates told me that Bob, our dance teacher at GB (a delighful man and queen for all seasons), approached him on the sly before class and asked who I was dating. The problem with working at an outdoor store

is that no one will be impressed if I go to a Halloween fundraiser as Gore-tex.

Halloween flummoxes me. I just can't make up my mind about it. Door knocking and fear of 3 year olds bursting into tears at my lack of candy makes my mind up about it.
Actors are supposed to love costumes. Yeah. So just pay me to wear one, then we'll have no problem.

So we're headed into week two of the run of Judith Thompson's The Crackwalker, in the space where it first had a home in Toronto, and we're doing pretty well!

So in a sudden windfall of awesome, my year is suddenly looking pretty freakin great. It looks like I'll finally get overseas this year (I'm 28 and kind of ludicrously though successfully educated, so it's LONG overdue). I think I'm beginning to realize that I only really love Toronto under the most ideal of conditions (which are pretty much impossible to achieve on a day to day basis). The weather is typically too hot, too dreary or just generally unsafe to inhale, working here/trying to work here feels really arbitrary, it's expensive, I miss my family, I miss so ( Read more... )
