"Then perhaps the library is not the best place for you," Hermione responded curtly with a glare. She pushed her own books around and made no pretense this time.
Natalie was sitting at a table in the library studying Potions without Jake quietly when all of a sudden someone slammed some books on the table. With an annoyed look, she glanced up and saw a girl she knew by name, but hadn't really associated with.
"Good point," Melanie mumbled, looking over the stack she had just slammed onto the table. The sight itself was enough to discourage her, and she didn't even have the energy to be rude. "Cheers for cram week."
"Oh. Hi Skye," Mel said flatly, not even bothering to look up.
Had it been any other time, she certainly would have welcomed the company, but as of now, she was already in enough of a bad mood without the burden of human interaction. "I'm supposedly revising, yes."

"How're you? Are you revising?" she continued talking without waiting for an answer, smiling broadly at the older girl.
