tell me about it... my friend lou (who would give his left nut for elliott smith if asked) told me yesterday that he felt like a "deflated balloon" and this is "the worst possible thing that could have happened" to him.

i'm not supposed to feel so fucking sad about it... but, i am... :(

You are right. It never is answered. I still ask myself that very question though.

About my step grandfather in particular. He had it all, done it all. Then March of last year he just ended his life.

I was truly shocked when I heard the news over the radio.

That mooncalfe icon is a private artist's drawing. I asked him personally to use it...you should have done the same thing. It's rude of you to alter someone else's art like that.

Before you make any assumptions, I'd like to ask you the following few questions...

1) Why do you assume that I stole it?
2) Why do you assume that I knew about this?
3) Why do you assume that I altered this?
4) Why do you assume that I'm rude?

For your information, I found this icon when openly displayed at gothicons about a year ago. I've had it since. The person who posted it, claimed the work (which was then just a cropped black and white image) as their own- and called it a "base"... (ie: ready-to-customize image). Which is what I did. I have no idea who the person was who stole it, resized it and passed it off as his/her own- but I assure you that it was not me. I thought I *had* the artists permission- and I haven't been contacted otherwise...

I wonder if you made the same post for the rest of the people using it. I've seen at least 10 others.

So um, excuse you.

First of all, I did not say that you stole it. Since you did not get it from the artist himself, technically, you DID steal it. Not directly, but the image is not in your use with his permission.

Secondly, Whenever I DO see someone else with these icons, I tell them the same thing. You're not the only one, so can the high and mighty bullshit please.

The person who posted that image as their own work, is a lying theif, and I know this personally, because mooncalfe doesn't have a LiveJournal.

Lastly, I hope you enjoy your stolen images with their crappy animations added to them. I'll be linking the artist to this, and he can do what he sees fit.

Goodbye.

Sweetie- I'm not being "high and mighty" to anyone. However, I think it's complete crap that you come in here, bitching to high heaven about something that I was previously aware of. If you read your post- yes, you did accuse me of stealing it. When in reality, I didn't. I recieved permission from a person who told me that *they* were the artist... and I customized it. And for the record, I like the animations... I like how it's whimsical and fun ( ... )
