I'm not sure if it's like this in your country, but in South Africa there are people who stand at almost every intersection to a) beg, b) sell something, or c) hand out flyers. It's particularly tricky when all three are at an intersection and I am constantly paranoid that I am going to hit someone someday

The penis drawings are so inappropriate.

Back when I lived in Los Angeles, a trip to Hollywood was always fraught with the danger of being accosted by random Scientologists, but here in Idaho (also known as Howling Nowhere), we don't have many street vendors or purveyors of much of anything.

I hate people who pass out flyers, though I usually take one out of guilt, but they should at least check the spelling, grammar, and not hand out lewd pictures.

Here, no one gives out flyers but there are a lot of beggars. And kids. Lots of kids (who are being used for the begging). It's one of my fears while learning to drive-- not to hit any kids. :-S

The penis drawings sound pretty inappropriate. For sure ppl are going to just toss them, litter...and then what if a little kid finds that?! It just isn't...decent. It's also like those spam emails for "increase penis size" you get (umm i'm a woman, thx)...who wants that crap?!! It sounds like they are going too far...it sounds like bad spam email on paper!! I've never been to SA (unfortunately!) so I can't say I know what to do... I'd *say* that if no one ever took the flyers they'd simply stop
