This was beautiful, and completely IC. I loved that there was an air of exhaustion but also a feeling of comfort running throughout, and the sense of closeness was lovely. You handled their friendship, and the aftermath of "The C Word," perfectly. Kudos :)

Thank you. ♥ IThey needed comfort and I couldn't get past the idea that, even after all they've been through together, this was still more than what they bargained for... Ohh, boys. All this ending stuff is making me a mess.

I feel a bit like the C-word episode has now been tainted by what is following, so I agree with you that I would like it to live on it's own little bubble :) This was a very nice coda to it, with a lovely sense of exhaustion, and some openess to both men. Great atomospheric piece.

(I actually haven't watched the episodes since this... I knew this wouldn't get written if I did, so now I'm trying to decide if I want to watch them now... or wait a little while and prolong the inevitable?)

In so many ways I wish the series had ended with "The C Word". This is such a perfect afterpiece to it, with both of them meeting each other's needs, and the way they fit together.

...I haven't watched the following episodes yet (because I was writing this) and now I'm feeling apprehensive. Hmm.
