Well what can I say?  Whenever I think to write in this thing, I am struck by how silly it is, and seemingly vane.  It seems akwardly self-indulgent to me.  Not as modest as I usually like things, frankly.  Perhaps I am a but too obsessed with modesty, anonymity, or the idea that vanity and ego are in some ways barbaric and unevolved.  Regardless ( Read more... )

I once had a wonderful English teacher who said: don't bother with disclaimers - you're not good enough to be that modest. The way I see it, just because something is written and put out in public there is no reason for it to have to be genius. It just has to be conversation. Anyway, if we used disclaimers every time we felt self-conscious, nothing would ever get done......

p.s. those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. You, my friend, are of the vainest, most elite and miserable sort. Your ego is of such enormity you can't even see around it. You are a know-it-all, snide, bitchy, awful person who relies on superficiality for a sense of self. You are mean and rude to people you claim to care for so much. You think you have depth because you have the ability to think semi-independently, but your total and utter selfishness and self-absorbency completly void an depth you might achieve. Good luck on your pathetic little life. Some one really needs to kick your ass and help you shrink that ENORMOUS head you have. It's blocking the sun.
