We're adults. When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?

Possibly my favourite quote ever from Grey's Anatomy because it's exactly how I feel...

I got a job offer and I should be more excited than I am... )

Aw, I wish I had some advice... I've never been placed in that situation, m'self.

All I can do is remind you of words that I have on my wall that I try my best to live by:

"More suffering is caused by indecision than wrong decision."

Dude.... I'm the queen of indecision... clearly!

I'm leaning strongly towards taking it... and hoping to get clarification on a few things that should help inform my decision...

How are things with you? And when do we get to hang out again?

Things with me are peachy, I'm happy to say!

Really any weekend works for me, for the hang-out. My life is now comprised of reading and working, so plans on the weekend are like a carrot dangling in front of a mule!

I would ask Kaboose for a week to make up your mind - or however long you think is appropriate - then go back to CJ (cooler job) and tell them that you're waiting to accept another offer but that your preference is really to work with them. Ask what their time frame is and see if you can put some pressure on them?
Really, you're not in a bad spot right now… Either way you will wind up in a job that makes you much happier than you are right now. There have been worse predicaments!

I pushed them until Monday... and I doubt that CJ will make a decision before then. My mom said I should just take Kaboose and if CJ offers me a job before I start then bail on Kaboose but I don't think I'm the type of person that can do that. However, should that situation arise I might change my mind...

And yes, worse predicaments definitely. But I hate decisions lol

I don't think I could do that to Kaboose either. Poooooooor, uncool-by-comparison Kaboose.
Maybe take a cue from Eternal Sunshine and just find someone to erase your memory of CJ altogether?

Ooh... I like that plan! Know anyone with memory erasing powers?

God, I would kill to be in your position, actually.

Right on Mel! Thats "oooooo!" as I said earlier :D

Well either seems like a win win but I'd probably jump on the one offer you definitely have on the table. Its good that you've got a bit of time to make the decision so I guess sleep on it...but probably best to not keep them waiting any longer than you have to.

A bit tricky for sure...its all easier said to deal with this than done.

But this is good...excellent even!

Thanks dude! I'm going to take it... if nothing else it gets me out of the miserableness I'm in now... and EMI is slowly imploding so things are only going to get worse... and what's the worst case scenario? If I don't like it I can always look for a new job in a year or so....

Don't think I'm going to make it tonight... Friday nights tend to be 'fall asleep on the couch by 10pm' nights. But we must hangout soon!
