I had the last of my current chemo treatments on Monday. The next day, I usually get Neulasta, but this time I got some other shot as well. With the holidays and all the traveling Steve and I have been doing, I haven't had time to look into it. I guess my next set of treatments isn't going to be just one drug like I had thought, either. So, I'm battling the wonderful insomnia present that my treatments always give me tonight.  I've literally been lying in bed upstairs since 11:45pm trying to keep my eyes closed long enough to sleep.  It's the steroids that they give me to offset the effects of the chemo, I think.  It usually only lasts one night (or at least it has in the past), ( Read more... )

So, I've finished up with treatment #2.  I was apparently confused about how the treatments were supposed to go, but Cynthia (the nurse at the chemo lab) straightened me out.  I'll be getting 4 treatments in a row of the Adriamycin and the Cytoxin, and once those are done then I'll get 4 treatments of the Taxotere.  Seems much less confusing this ( Read more... )

I went to have this done at the Greenbelt office of Community Radiology.  For those who have never had a CT scan done, here's basically what happened...
