Apart from the whole inappropriateness of the remark, it's not even true. Or which of those adjectives didn't apply to Jesse Jackson?

Ditto, even if the word clean was supposed to refer to not having a history of drig use (which W and Bill Clinton can't even say for themselves).

My favorite response to this came from Al Sharpton, who (shortly after the remarks) had Joe Biden on his radio show. Al Sharpton opened by informing Biden that he showers every day thank-you-very-much.
