I had no idea the colostrum-to-milk transition was gradual, either, LOL. I dunno, I guess I thought it was kind of like a light switch or something, which makes no sense in retrospect. XD Thanks for the heads up on that!! :D
I can recommend against brands...our instructor said most of the brands are formula companies, which obviously have reasons to want you to fail. Medela is the big one that isn't. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for. I forget the name OS the
Well that's what I get for doing this on my phone one handed while feeding. I forget the name of the exact model I have but any I'd theirs should be good. We actually bought ours used and replaced the bits that contact milk.
Medela Freestyle, Paul says, is the one we got. It is also the most expensive one they make, but the most portable. Woulda probably gotten a cheaper model had we not found it used.
yet another GREAT informative post! So glad you were able to just not stress about the mild coming in which probably helped matters tremendously. Unless her weight is a problem, I do not think would be waking her up for feeding at three hour mark, unless it is day time and you want her to sleep more at night. But do what workds for YOU.
