I woke up the morning of 2/27 (Thursday) with mild contractions coming every 7 minutes or so. I decided to take a shower just in case it was the real thing and also to see if they would go away with a change in position. Had another appointment today. Disappointingly, I am still only at 2 cm, even though I've been feeling a lot of contractions. Also 60% effaced. I have another appointment scheduled for Monday morning. They will do an ultrasound to check amniotic fluid levels and then monitor contractions and baby's heart rate and such for a while. 2 cm today, same as I was with Teddy. I really hope she's not 9 days late like he was.

I finally emailed UW-La Crosse. They said they have invited 4 people to interview. I'm in the "2nd tier" in case none of the 4 work out. I also emailed Radford but haven't heard back yet.

Due date is coming soon! At my appointment yesterday I had them check to see if I was dilated and they said I'm 1 cm. Looking back at my old posts, I probably was similarly dilated at the equivalent time with Teddy. I hope that doesn't mean Amelia will be late too. Happy new year! I guess I'm due for an update. Things are going well with the pregnancy. I'm about 32.5 weeks. We finally picked out a name for our baby girl-Amelia Iris Cade (Amy for short). So my official due date is February 22nd, which means I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday.  I had a couple days of nausea/fatigue when I first found out I was pregnant.  Then it was just mild fatigue.  Now the stomach issues and strong fatigue are back. Well, I've had the ultrasound and told our parents, so now we're free to tell you :) Based on LMP I should be 7 weeks 6 days, but based on baby's size and the length of my cycles, I'm more like 6 weeks 3 days. Teddy's sitting up very well now.  He's been army crawling for about a month now, but now he's properly crawling (most of the time).  He takes steps forward one leg at a time as long as somebody is holding on to him, and he supports his own weight.  Besides breastmilk we're feeding him mostly Gerber stuff we got from one of Lars's coworkers.  ( Read more... )

Teddy's almost 6 months now (just 8 more days!).  He's sitting up fairly well on his own--you just have to watch to make sure he doesn't reach too far to the side because then he falls over.  We took him to Dragon*Con and dressed him up as the Hulk, Baby Stig from Top Gear, and Nibbler from Futurama.  He also wore Batman and Firefly themed clothes ( Read more... )
