'Tis the Season?

I saw my first "Holiday Season" commercial a few days ago, and my first "Christmas" commercial today. It's way too early to start thinking about Christmas!

I know! Not to mention that it was 83 degrees in Dallas today. Even the WEATHER thinks it's too early!

Woah....

We've been having some unnaturally warm days, from what I understand. Today's kind of dismal, but it's been high 60's/low 70's here!

In Australia they have had Christmas stuff out in the stores since the beginning of October and we had a Christmas party here at college two days ago! Yikes

I agree! No christmas songs/commercials until at least after thanksgiving! Turkey day deserves recognition too.

Exactly.

I usually make it a policy not to break out Handel's Messiah until after Thanksgiving. While not technically a Christmas oratorio, it reminds me a lot of Christmas. But....I might have to break it out early this year.

Hehe, yeah. I still can't get my mind around the fact that next week is Thanksgiving!

You know the funny thing about it though? Even though all this Christmas stuff comes out early, the holiday always sneaks up on me. Crazy, isn't it?

The worst part of all of this is that I still haven't watched "It's a Wonderful Life" this year. It's usually a monthly thing for me, but the last time I saw it I cried.

Mmm...because "It's a Wonderful Life" is such a manly movie...and it definitely takes a manly man to cry because of the movie... :-)

Actually, it's one of those yearly ones for me too. But I only cried the first couple times I saw it.
