Today is the day I was told I could take my bandage off. What a relief! My hand felt like it was just marinading under the bulky dressing. Ick! After I got it all washed up I realized that both stitches appear to be broken. I doubt it's a problem because the incision looks like it's healing fine but just in case I left a message with the Dr

I'm so sorry that you have had such a time with your hand! Hopefully it will continue to heal rapidly. The broken stitches can't be a good thing!

How do you survive without air-conditioning? Yikes! And poor Timmy and John!

I'm also so sorry to know that John is still struggling with his issues. He's had such a hard time of it all.

I'm hoping the Dr says to just leave the incision be because it's too tender for me to imagine getting restitched. Yikes!

We were spoiled at the last place with central air but we have two window units. We are having issues with the windows that the landlord needs to fix before we can use them. I don't mind waiting too much because it's going to be a pain with our electrical system here. We aren't really wired for a lot of appliances. The house is old enough it got grandfathered in. I will need to have a good supply of fuses this summer.

John has been through the wringer! He went most of his life with no need for Drs and never getting sick to this. He is a strong person though thank goodness.

I hope you can put your AC in...I would die without ours for sure. And it's been in the 90's here for a while now but at least it's not humid. But hot is hot!

I hope your hand is ok and the stitches don't need redoing or something...ouch! When does the doctor look at it? You only had two stitches?

When can you go back to work?

There will be a time and probably soon that I'm going to have to install those ACs. Today is so beautiful and the temp is perfect. No humidity. Yesterday the humidity was disgusting!

The nurse called back and said there are two more stitches under the incision that I can't see so that is helping. She said as long as it's not red or oozing or open it should be ok. She suggested I put a tape/stitch on it to help and I did that. It's just a tiny cut. Probably less than an inch. I can go back to work on the 16th. I could have gone back sooner if I didn't need to use my hands so much and have them wet a lot of the time.

You guys don't have Air conditioning? I guess because I live in Florida, I find it surprising that anyone has no A/C.

I grew up in Calif, and we did not have A/C usually. Not even in our cars, it was an option.

Around here the newer and/or more expensive places have central air and heat. Sometimes you can get a wall unit AC included in the space but this place doesn't have either. I'm glad I saved our two old window units because I'm just not good with heat.
My work is hotter than blazes too so I have to have somewhere I can cool off. My last car didn't have AC but my car now does. Thank the heavens!

Yes I watch most of the RH, not the Australia one though. OC starts next week. It is my guilty pleasure, and now we can be partners in the guilty pleasures!!
