We've had no interntz until yesterday and updating LJ is a pain with the 'Pod.
Lots of stuff has happened -- I failed at the Birthday Suprise of Doom (big box o' paper sculptures for Sultry's desk, places on said desk by two of her work buddies) but I did manage to buy her a digital camera *and* an iPod Touch *and* keep them a secret *and* deliver ( Read more... ) -
Much better now.
Camp turned out to be exactly what I needed. My kids were perfect and had a great time. Th'Boy was a huge help and worked his little butt off. The only hitch was that one of my little guys went wothout a sleeping bag the first night because he couldn't find it and no one thought to tell me ( Read more... ) -
Switching gears
I've been asked to work on an astronomy area at the Cub Camp and while my hopes of a giant planisphere have yet to be realized I have managed to come up with some neat stuff. (still need an old laptop to run Stellarium) The project has been a great distraction and I'm really enjoying working on it. Most of the time ( Read more... ) -

I'm not late anymore. Just when I started to think it might have worked this time.
It's starting to look like the insurance isn't going to cover the IUIs. This is unexpected and not good news.
Lousy day. At least the week is almost over. I have camp this weekend and I'm starting to dread it.

I managed to give the impression that the two hour job is a pain and I regret it. This is NOT the case. Nonononoooooo!
I *love* this kid and her parents are ... ok. (kidding!) Seriously, it brings out a side of me that doesn't get nearly enough exercise and yesterday was a prime example, it went something like this:
