And today, we went for a wander around Bedford!
The first treat in store for me was... ginormous faces. Ugly statue that apparently cost 100,000 pounds of the local council's money. And at the same time, forced the relocation of another statue - at the cost of 4,000 pounds - that had been opened by Nelson Mandela. It doesn't seem to be a popular ( Read more... ) -

Today, I got off to a start bright and early. Well, not extremely bright and early, coz I wanted to get an off-peak ticket in to London - but still bright and early kinda. Yesterday afternoon, we went for a drive. The day was kinda gloomy, so we'd decided that walking was probably not the best idea. We drove to, and then through Ireland! I've been here a couple of days now... we've not done much :) Yesterday, I went off to work with Raeyn and Neil - they work with Neil's father, small business type thing. Monday, Melissa picked me up from the airport in Cedar Rapids, we drove back to her place, and went to sleep for a couple of hours, :) ... then we went to lunch at this kinda tex-mex place and had margaritas :D She had Tower related stuff to take care of, so spent part of the afternoon doing that ... staying with the CEO of the internet website ( Read more... )
