Ted Bennett was passionately hot. By hot, I mean that he possessed an electricity that was matched by no one. His energy was so strong and focused that his bullet-words hit you with tiny zings that inspired chainsaw weilding, marathon running and really really hot dirty sex. Being in Ted's presence made one feel like they could do absolutely anything, because along with this intense beautiful energy, he also provided an almost mother-like-lioness-nurturing vibe. For all this, Ted is a hero to most, and is mine, because he doesn't even know it.

Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away there was a girl who lived that decorated the earth with personality. She was kind, and strong, and smart, and stylish, and funny… all the things one hoped to be. She took the world by storm with her strong opinions, and rambunctious laughter. Often when she walked down the street people would stop and stare because of her style and presence. She was a girl who owned her body and moved in it like it was and old friend. There was never a room that she was in that did not sparkle and jump like a sassy jazz song. The things she loved were as eclectic as the people she gathered into her following. Philosophy, art, music, politics, relations, sex, drugs, beauty, literature (both meaty and pulpy), love, life…. Nothing was to big or small, pretty or ugly, fun or scary for her to have not dabbled in. She embraced the world like a master would a project that fascinated and mystified him. And while the world was not always kind to her, she was kind to it by continuing to have faith. She ( ... )

Dawn Marie was my icon of Happiness. She represented perpetual good even when she was not very good. *wink. Dawn Marie pushed for greatness in the most graceful way, and managed to wait patiently for things the rest of us would have just given up on or will or already have. DM is by far the most successful of my friends, because to me success is measured by feeling that Dawn Marie managed to instill in so many people. The feeling of safety, truth, and love. Dawn Marie offered unconditional love to the world and some of us were lucky enough to have known her and partaken of her gifts. To almost everyone she ever met, she was a mother, a lover, a confidant, or a best friend. To me, she was all of those things. My life is better for knowing DM, as I am sure yours is, too.

Mutual admirations society is now in session. The first item of business is finding time to get together and drink!

Thanks pretty.

I never wanted to meet my girlfriends' parents because I always heard about how the parents hated all the other boyfriends. But when the time came, I straightened my shoulders and made nice. And then I'd get broken up with.

As for your eulogy, I'm feeling a little too flippant right now... but I'll write you one.

I need an extension on my homework assignment. Mostly because I don't want to think about you dying. And Dawn Marie's made me cry.

AWWW...

I did preface that post with a IM to Mary saying:
"By the way you are not to die anytime soon or I will kill you"

I know I am here until the beer runs out!

Call me woman!

I AGREE. I cannot possibly contemplate your eulogy. At all.

Ps: Boys are totally bores, even Jason flipped out after he went to that wedding, remember? It's just in their dna.
