South of town is a thick forest. If Memento Eden were bound by logic -- which it isn't -- then the tall trees with their ring count would dictate that this is an ancient forest. The trees are so large and prosperous that they block out the sun, giving a haunted air to an already unusually silent wood. There is nothing growing on the forest ground, ( Read more... )

Having dirty melons was bad. So, Bridget took them home and took a bath with both of them.

The green melon explodes impressively in the tub.

[%2 memory gain to Bridget!]

Bridget blinked at the exploded melon. At least he was taking a bath anyways, so he didn't need to worry about being sticky. He scurried off with the remaining rainbow melon (in a towel, of course.). In doing so, he tripped in his apartment and the melon went flying onto a table, knocking over several condiments: yellow mustard, red ketchup, and green relish, causing the melon to be covered with them all.

Aw, now Bridget's nice clean melon is all sticky. Colorful, but sticky.

He probably should take another bath with it, but he was far too excited! Instead of going through that much trouble, he simply wiped it down with a purple towel and some blue soap.

The melon patiently let itself be wiped.

Scurrying back to the patch (soaking wet and naked besides the pink towel) with his rainbow melon, Bridget scooped up the remaining blue melon, #5. "Since the other one exploded, you're going to be rainbow's friend, k?" he said to it, part of him genuinely expecting a response.

Not much of a response, though.

Returning to his apartment with the two melons, Bridget...sort of forgot what he was originally doing. Since, instead of trying to break them, he was now playing with them. He put one of his caps onto the rainbow one and named him Roger. Clinging to the rainbow like it were a teddy bear, he treated the blue like more of a baby and sung nursery rhymes to them both, like "Mary Had a Little Lamb", "Humpty Dumpty", "Ring Around the Rosie", and "Pop Goes the Weasel".

Aww. They're quite enjoying Bridget's lovely singing voice and impressive manly demeanor.

Happy melons are happy.

((I am getting strange and trap-like mental images and it is all your fault.))
