The nearest melon field is a short trip to the north. But despite its proximity to the town, the forest quickly thickens, and this melon field sits in a perfect weedless square, looking odd against the wild bushes all around it. Squirrels and bears rabbits occasionally skirt about, though they flee at the first sign of people. Some sunlight

Laharl was in no mood.

With his cape, he picked up every remaining red melon (at a convenient time at which they are all unoccupied) and launched them very, very high into the air.

He formed a single Overlord's Wrath blast in his hand, increasing its size--slowly at first, then raising it over his head as it ballooned in dimensions to being bigger than his own body, and tossed it at the airborne fruits.

No luck. The melons all remain intact.

Laharl successively stomped on all three of them, then punched them, then squeezed them, obviously in a jealous frenzy.

And the first melon he squeezes -- Red 4 - bursts in his arms.

Returning to the field, Laharl picked up Blue 3 and blasted it with minor force.

He tossed it casually over his shoulder and drew his Laser Blade to hack at every unoccupied green melon.

And the green melons proved they could withstand laser cutting. Does that mean they're harder than diamonds?

Laharl kicked Green 2 at Red 2.

Green 2 bounces harmlessly off of Red 2.

Getting irritated again already, he tossed Red 3 at a rock.

Red 3 crashes into the rock and -- wait, did it crack the rock? The melon itself is unharmed, though.

Rainbow 2 time. It got the Blazing Knuckle treatment.

And Laharl received the usual treatment in return.
