Melon Field 5 [Chris]

The nearest melon field is a short trip to the north. But despite its proximity to the town, the forest quickly thickens, and this melon field sits in a perfect weedless square, looking odd against the wild bushes all around it. Squirrels and bears rabbits occasionally skirt about, though they flee at the first sign of people. Some sunlight ( Read more... )

"Hmmm... how curious indeed," Aizen said as he approached the melon field. Selecting the 3rd green melon, he drew his zanpakutou in one swift, fluid motion, and began testing every sword form he could think of (thrust, chop, slash, hit with the flat of the blade, hit with the dull side, carving motion), taking care not to launch it with excessive force.

None of the attacks work. The melon remains unharmed.

Aizen moves on to the next tactic, attempting every form of bare-handed attack he can think of (open palm, closed fist, chop, stomp, kick, sideswipe, sweep, various punch/kick combinations).

Which also has no effect. No binding or squishing this melon.

Aizen then takes the melon and drops it. Failing that, he drops it on every other melon in the field. Failing that, he drops every other melon in the field on it. (He'll take whichever is available and not occupied of each.)

The melons all remain intact. If they were sentient, they'd be high-fiving each other at being able to outdo such a hax character...but they're not.

Aizen goes through the motions once more, this time throwing the melons at the ground or at each other. Failing that he will return to the green melon, and strike it with a rock, drop it on a rock, throw a rock at it, and, failing that, set it on fire.

None of the aforementioned methods will have any effect on the melons.

Next, Aizen will take it, immerse it in the lake, the ocean, and regular tap water. Failing that, he will freeze it. Failing that, he will attempt to drop his own blood on it, or his own tears or sweat.

The melon burst when it fell into the lake.

[[Aizen gets 2% memories.]]
