Cheri wandered into the patch curiously. She'd heard rumors of the oddly unbreakable melons of course but she of course had to see for herself what all the fuss was about. Not being curious enough yet to go too far in her wanderings, she had chosen a patch fairly close to town. Indeed, there really were very cute and pretty and shiny melons all lined up! After a bit of poking the dirt and the vines and looking around the area, Cheri gently picked up Rainbow #3 and looked it over for signs of cracks, damage, bugs, or any other Unsavory Things.

The melon simply shined and beamed back at the woman and proved to be completely perfect. It wasn't even very dirty from the ground it grew in.

Cheri smiled at the melon for being so pretty and impulsively smooched it. <3 Now, this would make a wonderful slushed drink if she could get it open!

The melon glowed in affection for the kiss, or maybe it just looked the same... it was hard to tell given its shimmery rainbow nature, but who wouldn't love a kiss from such a lovely lady, right?

She considered the melon for a few moments before smiling again. Of course, it would get lonely if she only took it by itself, right? After another look around the patch, she picked up Green 3 and gave it a smooch as well before starting to carry them back to the onsen with her while humming to herself.

The green melon went along willingly with its rainbow brethren, each behaving like good little melons for Cheri on their fieldtrip.

After getting back, Cheri did what any other sweaty/sticky/dusty person would do. She took a bath with her melons in the hotsprings, totally having fun bouncing them off rocks and each other.

And the moment Cheri began to scrub at the green melon for its "bath" it burst in the water. The other however stayed nice and whole, floating along merrily.

And the rainbow melon after being left alone for a mere five minutes vanished and reappeared back in the field ready for whoever may come.
