In order to spur creativity in my brain, I've decided to start reading up on writing. I came across a website that has a list of five minute writing exercises. I'm starting off easy for today:

The Weekend Update...
This weekend was...well, in a word...
crazy.
Friday night, I spent packing things and preparing music for the wedding of one of my closest friends (we've been friends basically since birth). Pirates, Pop Culture, and a new look!
Some of you may have noticed that I have been very neglectful towards my lj in recent months. However, it's fall and I am trying to turn over a new leaf.

So, in approximately one week, the DH and I will be having a pirate-themed party. I just have to get through the next 7 days...I just have to get through the next 7...
