Maybe the two small cons could try alternating years?
I really, really wish all programming chairs would send out an email to all panelists on a panel and ask them to coordinate, and yes, having the emails that handy would help. Some panel members still wouldn't bother, but I tend to remember those and avoid future panels they moderate. When I've moderated and contacted people in advance, they seem surprised. And actually, I didn't know there were any filkers in Tucson other than Jenn A. and myself. So that's news!
As I said in the main post, I'm not going to point fingers, but a couple of people have repeatedly offered to send me notices of the phoenix house filks, and said notices never arrived - so it wasn't just a mailing list issue.
I understand cons being less than filk friendly (although scheduling issues that keep the Music GoH out of open filking is a bit extreme), but my problem is I don't get to filk very often, and it's frustrating when a possible chance peters out.
But I did enjoy hearing your stuff!
