FKO -Songwriting Competitions
FKO runs two songwriting competitions. The first is for a song written since the last FKO on an announced theme. The second is for a song written at the con. The song must use all six words on a list that is made available at registration. North Texas Irish Fest
North Texas Irish Fest was this weekend. In addition to it being a great music festival, it is an opportunity to see both our families, so it is an annual destination for us. GAFilk
Attended my first GAFilk this weekend. Had a great time, although a big giant damper was put on the weekend for me by the tragic shooting Saturday in Tucson. I wouldn't say I knew Gabby Giffords, but I have met her and have tremendous respect for her work and her service.
