Stabbity-Stabbity Stab Stab!!!

This is a rant. I will wax poetic on the antecedents of certain persons, and then on the probability of my continuing business relationship with a specific corporation. Language is guaranteed to be NSFW. You have been warned....

Very long venting doth follow. )

Buying a car is no longer any fun. This sort of crap (and I'm being polite here) makes me want to walk into a car dealer with a briefcase full of cash, and say, "I want that one!"

Of course, they'd probably think I'm some sort of high-flutin' criminal, but the idea of seeing their eyes bugger out of their faces has its attractions.

my cousins did that... thought it wasn't cash, they had X amount in savings for a car and told the dealer that when all was said and done that was all they were spending.
They eventually got what they were looking for. And managed to dodge a bank loan.

When I recently purchased a car, I was told by my bank officer (same bank, Mel) that it made more sense to negotiate a loan through the dealer rather than through the bank, because I would get a better deal through the dealer.

Yeah, but that's because she was ON CRACK and they were offering 16% for a car loan. That's insane.

I hate Wells Fargo. it is who bought out the bank I had my car loan through.
It is why I am trying to pay the car off as early as I can so I can be rid of them.

Bastages!!

Oh, and I know it won't help now, but they did make a chance in the FICO scoring a few years back. Multiple 'hard' inquiries (where you are actually looking for a loan) as long as they are within a 2 week period count only as 1 hit when you are trying to get a car loan. Same thing for houses, only there the time frame is a month. They did this to account for people shopping for good rates more and more.

I have never had a polite word to say about Wells Fargo.

About eleven years ago, I switched to a Credit Union and NEVER looked back. Banks are invited to DIAF.

I use a Credit Union most of the time, but when I applied for a car loan last August when blaecstan's car was stolen, they had denied me because my FICO score wasn't high enough. I figured that banks might be a little less picky, so I went to my local financial institution instead.

Silly me.
