Yep. It's like that for miles and miles.... Ours is one of the few "green" spaces left.

Very nicely done. I've never been that far west.

Several shots exhibit... Would that be haze?

Yes, that's haze. Some people insist that everything that hangs in our air is smog, but 'tis not true. We generally do not get visible smog in this part of LA because we're near the ocean and have the ocean breeze blowing inland. But sometimes the wind changes, and we get the inland's heat...and smog. It's disgusting.

The air quality is MUCH better than it used to be before fuel emmission standards and so forth, though, says those who have lived here for years. So that's good.

It's quiet humid here, hence the perpetual haze (I'm guessing that's the reason). We also have an inversion layer that keeps the haze blocking our views.

Cool! It was nice to see where you live! :-)

Hey, would you like to "see" where I live? I could go up on the (fairly high) hill behind our house and take a panoramic shot, email it to you and then your brothers (or, "bothers" as I accidentally typed) could piece it together. If you want. :-)

Yes, please!!! I've always wanted to see where you live. :-)

Don't do it yet, though. Jason has some tips on how best to take panoramic shots, so I'll ask him to relay them to you.

(Sometimes they are bothers. ;-)

Tell the "bothers" to send their photo tips on. I'm ready!

Did I tell you that BOTH of my panoramic shots that I took on Mt Huff n' Puff totally worked? I'm so excited! :-)
