Oh, those are nice! You did a beautiful job! :) The "Second Scarf" is probably my favorite (the syle and colors are lovely). Not much need for scarves in FL, but I'll advertise for you on my journal. :)
Thanks, Missy! :-) I actually made one of those scarves for someone in Florida, so you can wear them there. ;-) And I have an Arizona friend who wears them several times a week. It really depends how the scarf is made. "Second Scarf" is wool and would definitely be too hot for Florida!
Hahaha! I now have an excuse to ramble about scarfs! I've got three scarfs, one long one Mum knitted when I was little, my high school scarf (think Harry Potter) and a nice bright red one from a famous New Zealand company called Norsewear. My high school scarf has a long history as a prized target at this childrens camps I was involved in during the mid nineties.
Speaking of posting things, does your Mum want a 2006 calendar?
It's made at a place called Norsewood. I hear it was settled by some Scandanavians because they realised how wonderful it would be to have Christmas in summer. They applied to do a summer camp in America during the NZ winter but their visa application was rejected so they knitted stuff to keep warm. They realised that by selling knitted stuff made from the superior wool that comes from New Zealand sheep it would only be a matter of time before they would make more money than microsoft. They knew that when that time came American big business will try to buy them out and then they could spite them for rejecting their visa by buying American big business out instead and controlling the purse strings of the American economy
