But then she sees the regal, black eagle on his arm and the cornflower over his heart and she just stares]

[And then smacks a hand over her eyes as she tries to hide her laughter and embarrassment and flutteryloveydoveyfeelings]

[He knew she saw him, but he keeps his posture aloof, calm and almost oblivious. He stands there, waiting, patiently.

Finally, he cracks a smile-almost a grin-at her words, and walks nearer to her.]

[The black eagle stretches its wings, almost in agreement, and in consideration of its new owner.]

[The L-word makes the blush worse and she finds it harder to look at him, so she stays like that for a while more. Belarus would make her look at him eventually. For now, she contents herself with not looking or answering and trying to control her stupid stomach butterflies and sudden weak knees]

[The ease in the way Belarus confesses it to her doesn't come easy. They have both came a long way, and to say that word is rare but heartfelt. He's slightly embarrassed saying that, but it pleases him to know that Prussia is affected by it.

He takes a step closer, then slowly and gently tilts her face up with his free hand.]

You have gone quiet. [He points out with a straight face, yet there is a rare teasing gleam in his eyes, usually unnoticed by most people but the closest to him.]

[And she has and again, it's embarrassing. She's always so loud and aggressive and then to have Belarus of all people manage to silence her with just a few words, it's something indeed. So as a reward, she pounds him on the chest]

[She sounds gruff, but she's still having a hard time looking at him. She's that awkward with feelings, it's true]

[It's almost endearing to see Prussia being all docile and quiet, though Belarus also likes seeing the loud and brash side of her. It's like two polar opposites of her personality, and both still being the same person. Prussia brings a kind of new spice in his life, always surprising him in many ways.

The fists are almost expectant. He knows that sooner or later, it'll make an appearance. Belarus smiles gently and chuckles, nodding his head.]

Ah, but I have brought gifts for you.

[With that, he brings his other arm closer to Prussia, lowering the eagle to her level. The eagle cries out, cocking its head in response.]

Yeah, you did... [Still with pink cheeks, she turns her attention to the eagle before her. It's beautiful, with dark feathers and a sharp beak. A real bird of prey]

Where did you get it? [She doesn't move yet to touch it. It still doesn't know her and it's best to be careful with animals like this] Did you do something illegal? [Prussia doesn't really care much about the legalities of it unless Belarus would get into trouble for doing something like this]

[Belarus shrugs his other shoulder so as not to jostle the eagle.] I have contacts. [Which says it all. Then his brows furrow a bit.] Nothing that lands me with lawsuit. Only a few knives. [No, seriously. He had gotten the eagle from a private dealer, whom he specified and specially requested some time ago.]

Or would you rather have these? [As he says that, Belarus plucks the cornflowers from his coat's breast pocket and tucks it in her ear.]

[She smirks at the knives bit and shakes her head. Belarus will never change. When he puts the cornflower in her hair against her ear, though, she has to wonder. A hand lifts to touch by the flower and she almost wants a mirror to look at herself]

Hey, I'm not gonna say 'no' to awesome gifts like these. [Privately, the first thing that has come to mind when he put the cornflower in her hair is Hungary and if she looks like him now. She doesn't mention him, though. It just seems inappropriate somehow]

[Belarus grins a bit as he brushes the back of his fingers against her cheeks.]

[Hungary? Who's that? Don't go thinking about other man, or Belarus will have to knife him. He didn't intend for that imagery, merely that he had read about that dating gesture from some books.]

[She continues to smirk at him as he touches by her cheeks] Well, yeah. Both are kind of my symbols, you brown-noser you. I should like them.

[Belarus is doing a good job of making her forget about her distracted thoughts of Hungary. No worries]
