She's just standing there, red in the face and listening to him stutter and embarrass himself around his very clumsy confession. It's not as if she hasn't heard any other declarations of admiration before; they happen often enough in her line of work. There's just something about this one that catches her attention, though, and just has her feeling for this poor, awkward guy.
It surprises her when she's suddenly calling out to him, "Hey, Ruslan."
His hands over hers are big, rough, but warm, a man's hands. She likes hands like that. They're not perfect but they work hard and are capable of a lot of things. She looks up at him and this close, it's obvious just how much taller he is compared to her. He doesn't scare her though, far from it. There's just hardly anything intimidating about him aside from his height but that's okay. It's more than okay.
"You should have more confidence on yourself." She finds herself telling him, her other hand moving to touch over his hand over hers. She's so pale compared to him too. Violet eyes lift to meet with his blue ones. "Any girl would be lucky to have someone like you." Julia just knows somehow that he's a nice guy and a nice guy is always good to find.
He stands there quiet for a moment. While he was never one to read women well, or anyone for that matter, he had an inkling this was the right moment. The moment he should act.
The move startles her, not expecting any of the sort to happen. She's supposed to instinctively move away, her eyes widening in panic and what-the-HELL-are-you-doing, but doing that only makes things worse.
Or better, depending on who's asking.
His lips on hers are soft, a bit dry, another shock, but nothing unpleasant.
When he pulls away, it takes a long moment before Julia's eyes open. And when they do, she just stares for a bit, looking up at him. Then it slowly starts to dawn on her.
A complete stranger just kissed her. They're still holding hands. She kind of likes it all.
When it comes to people flustered and embarrassed in front of him, he's a bit oblivious. Sort of oblivious. ...ok, very oblivious. He does figure out that something might be wrong, but his first thought is more along the lines of 'shouldn't have done that', than 'she's totally in to me'.
"Y-yeah!" Julia tries to recover with her usual brashness, talking a bit too loudly with her grin like a knife. But it's off-set by the flush on her cheeks that won't go away. "Everything's awesome!"
"Do you have time? I would like to show you something."
He swung her hands back and forth, with a smile and still unaware how much the tables had turned. How embarrassed Julia really was and how the feeling of his hands and softness of his smile put him in some sort of control. After all, what was he? Some farm boy from nowhere with this big shot actress with everyone chasing after her.
"Uh... I guess..." The hand swinging is really adorable and it's probably rendering her stupid because she can't even think of the possible dangers of this. She doesn't know Ruslan and there are always weirdos about. What if he turns out to be one of them and end up killing her out where he would take her? That's what she would usually be thinking.
She follows after him, still feeling disoriented, very compliant. One of her hands lift up to touch against her lips. She can still feel the kiss. Will her cheeks ever feel normal again?
She doesn't get an answer because another surprise creeps up on her, almost literally.
The field is a wide open space. The sky is so clear. The sun shines so warmly. She doesn't even notice until now how beautiful the day really is and out here in the country, it's even more so. The wide field of large sunflowers really make the difference.
With a warm laugh, he runs a hand through his hair, mussing it up and making a few honey colored locks stick straight up.
"This is where I call home now. Or, um, farther down that way." Ruslan points to a dirt road about a fifteen minute walk, or so, from where they were standing.
"People think it silly that I enjoy sunflowers, because I am a man, but they are useful. Did you know sunflowers can clean up the ground? From contamination?"
"No, I didn't." She's not really a girl who cares all that much about flowers, but faced with something like this, she can't really ignore them otherwise.
"They're beautiful." Julia tells him, looking to him after a moment.

And somehow she's gotten a hold of his hand.

He stopped when he felt the warmth of Julia's hand on his.
"I..."
Not quite registering the situation, he pauses, then puts his other hand on her's.
"M-Miss Beilschmidt?"

A terrible flush breaks out on her pale skin.
Now look who's flustered and embarrassed.

"...It's not far, right?"

"It is close by and I would love you to see."
Only a few steps away from the movie trailers and cameras, is what appears to be a yellow field.
