*He's not going to say anything. Ever. He might never talk again actually, that would just make things simpler, right? No. Just not saying anything to her at all. Can't make him. Can't make himself say anything even if he wanted to...*

[Well, it's not like she's can make him say anything. She's just going to sit there and watch the movie, curled up on the couch... right up until she realizes that he is, in fact, being too quiet. He's always a chatterbox, especially when it comes to movies involving guns and explosions.

Turning her focus from the television, she finally fixes her gaze on him, her eyes narrowed a little bit.]

*It shouldn't be such a big deal. He would get going in a movie with guns and explosions and car chases. Clint and Bruce finally bonded over the Blues Brothers one day. And normally, sure, he'd be talking her ear off. But now he's all tense. It doesn't help when she points it out and then he just, he starts to say something and then stops, and starts again. Then it just, comes out*

[Annie's pretty sure that Alan Rickman just got thrown off Nakatomi Tower and Bruce Willis is about to do something else totally badass, but she's too busy looking at Clint with wide eyes and a slack jaw to pay any attention whatsoever. In fact, she has to blink away her shock before she can even retrieve the remote off the back of the couch and hit pause.

The rest of her hasn't moved and she gives him a look like she's not sure if she heard him right. The TV was loud.] What?

*That's just it. He said it, he doesn't want to have to say it again. Or explain. Or say anything else.*

I love you. *He repeats, and then looks back to the TV.*

[Well, huh. That was totally not what she expected from movie night, but she can't help giving the TV a little smile as she thumbs the buttons again.]

Hey. [She waits until she knows he's paying attention.] I love you, too.

[Then she pushes play, stretching out her her feet to tuck them under his backside.]

*It's okay, he hadn't been expecting it either, it just happened. He does look back to her when she gets his attention though and even manages a smile even though he feels like he just poured everything out and he kind of wants to retreat back into himself.*

*But it's okay. She's not pushing away, in fact she's coming closer. He puts his arm across the back of the couch, settling in with a comfortable smile*

[She's a little surprised he hasn't decided to watch the rest of the movie from the beam that runs above the window that sits behind her couch. She's also a little glad and she's not going to say anything.

She's going to smile, too.]

*Look, another disguise. But um, kind of a different one. He's got the food service apron, shirt with someone else's name on it and the funky little paper hat sitting askew on his still spiky hair. He sets a paperbag on her desk, inside is a selection of Chinese takeout.*

[Annie had been hard at work reconciling things on her computer when she heard the voice and it didn't register right away. Still typing as she looked at the bag, her eyes widened and then she looked up. Her jaw dropped and she hissed.] Jake. How did you even--?

[Standing, she lifted the bag and pulled his hand, heading for the elevator.]

Well, it was kind of a guess-hey! Where are we going? *He shuffles after her toward the elevator, but he doesn't try to get away from her either* Annie. Where are we going?

Since I'm guessing that you're not supposed to be here and I know you really shouldn't have used that uniform to gain access to the Agency-- [She flashed another smile as someone walked by.]-- I thought maybe we'd go eat whatever you brought in the parking lot and you could tell me what you're doing here.

What was I supposed to do? I had limited options, you know, I don't exactly pass for an Agent. Not that I'd want to pass for an agent, I mean you know how it is, but this is the best I could come up with in short notice and hey, it worked! I mean I got to your desk-.. *He rambles. He rambles almost the entire way to the elevator.* Anyway, I brought you lunch.

[Her voice is still hushed until they're in the parking lot and then she tugs him to the sidewalk and heads for her car.]

You did get to my desk and frankly, that's kind of disturbing. [Not that she was ever, ever going to report the breach.] But, Jake? I'm glad you came. And thank you for lunch.

Ooooh, parking lot. I'm okay with that. *He gives her a grin and an eyebrow waggle. He's not getting any. He should know it by now, his only charms are charming because they're so much fail* Hey, I've got skills. I know how to do shit.
