ooc: Because I had ideas for Lydia and Abi and couldn't decide because I love you so.
[Welp. Staying home is supposed to keep her safe. She's got her rock salt gun and her holy water and knives hidden all over the house. Devils traps too.
Of course, in all of her training, all of their safeguarding, no one was counting on the remnants of a pack in North Dakota tracking Bobby down to get revenge.
Bobby wasn't there, but considering the pretty girl sleeping upstairs alone is in his house when he isn't, she's got to mean something, right? So. Bobby killed their friend/brother/sister/whoever and they take Bobby's...whatever she is. Fair play, correct?
And hey, look, if she's close to Bobby, she must be close to the Winchesters too! Every monster in the surrounding states is clamoring to take something from them. Abi might as well be it.]
[Abi dresses quickly, nodding in agreement to each of Sam's questions. It's just been so long since she's spoken that it's a little difficult to force words out with any regularity.
Once she's dressed, she moves just a little closer but still can't bring herself to reach out and hug him the way she wants.]
[She doesn't have to. The moment she's dressed and at least hesitating in Sam's direction, he pulls her in, enveloping her in a massive hug.] God, we were so worried about you.
[The hug makes her gasp and tense, unused to the physical contact.] ...Thank you. [She hugs back, just a little, but she's quick to step away, rubbing at her arm.]
Just over the ridge. I've got a car. [Sam wanted to draw her near again, reminder her she was safe, but holds back.] It'll only take a day or so to get home, okay?
He wanted to be. But this was the only way I could get into the market they were holding you. [As they walk, he lays it out. Dean's careful plan, their staged in split, his running with the wolves to make the staged separation more concrete.]
[Abi nods as Sam speaks, only really half listening to the plan. As long as she's out now and there's nothing more she has to do, she doesn't think she really cares how they got to her.
She's also unsure how she feels about Bobby not being there just yet. One the one hand, he's probably the one person in the world she wants to see right now because despite her resolve before, now that she's out and it's over, she kind of just to be held while she cries like a baby. And on the other hand...she wants to cry like a baby. And she wants - needs - Bobby to think she's stronger than that.] I know. I get it. 'Sokay.
You've made it this far, okay? I'll get you back to Bobby as soon as we can. shouldn't be too long.
[He can all but smell the tension radiating off her. But Sam won't press. He doesn't know what Abi went through or how difficult things had been. He wants to hold her and tell her that everything will be all right, that she's safe with family, but he's afraid to crowd her.]
I've got a phone in the car. You.. you want to be the one to call Bobby?
[Her first instinct is to shake her head no. She knows hearing his voice won't be enough, that it won't do anything to soothe the tension in her shoulders and so there's really no need to break down in front of Sam.
But then she nods, chewing on the sleeve of her jacket. Maybe it won't help, but she wants to do it anyway. She wants to hear Bobby's voice and if that means she ends up breaking down in front of Sam, then so be it.]
[Sam fishes out a phone from the glove compartment, stabbing in Bobby's number. He doesn't give him much warning, merely handing the phone off to Abi when he hears Bobby pick up the line.
When the phone is handed off, Sam steps outside of the car. He has a werewolf's hearing, but he can at least offer her some privacy to call her father.]
[Abi tries to speak when Bobby first says hello, but all she can manage is a shaky breath.
When he checks again to make sure someone is actually on the line, she stifles (or at least tries to) stifle a sob, pulling her knees up into her chest.]
[Bobby draws in a sharp breath. Sam did it. He did it.] Abi. Where are you kid? I'll meet you? I'll get there. [He's already reaching for his keys, doesn't give a damn how long it takes him to get there.
I don't know. [She hiccups, trying so hard to keep from crying, her voice already wrecked from nearly a month of not speaking and now she knows that if she cries, she won't be coherent at all.]
I don't know where we are, we-. They handed me over and then we walked an-and...but Sam said that. That we'd be there in a couple..a couple days.
I just saw last week's ep. I'm so upset.shootsdownstarsNovember 15 2012, 06:07:45 UTC
Well I didn't get snatched on purpose. [Abi snaps. The anger is sudden and she doesn't even know why it's there in the first place, the emotional floodgates wide open after so long of Abi being shut in on herself.]
