ooc: Because I had ideas for Lydia and Abi and couldn't decide because I love you so.
[Welp. Staying home is supposed to keep her safe. She's got her rock salt gun and her holy water and knives hidden all over the house. Devils traps too.
Of course, in all of her training, all of their safeguarding, no one was counting on the remnants of a pack in North Dakota tracking Bobby down to get revenge.
Bobby wasn't there, but considering the pretty girl sleeping upstairs alone is in his house when he isn't, she's got to mean something, right? So. Bobby killed their friend/brother/sister/whoever and they take Bobby's...whatever she is. Fair play, correct?
And hey, look, if she's close to Bobby, she must be close to the Winchesters too! Every monster in the surrounding states is clamoring to take something from them. Abi might as well be it.]
[Bobby winces at the snap and falls silent for a long moment. It had been his fault she'd been taken in the first place. His fault that he hadn't been there to protect her.] 's all right.
[Sam returns to the window to gently take the phone. There's another muted conversation as they discuss location and the best place to meet up. He slides into the driver's seat.] There's a hotel about two hours away, we can crash there, Bobby said he'll meet us there in the morning.
[Just two hours away? That doesn't feel like it'd be far away enough if the wolves find out that Sam took her back. Would they really care? Would it be worth fighting the Winchesters to get her back just to sell her again? The whole situation is just entirely too confusing.
She hasn't eaten yet, but she's not hungry. She hasn't really slept in a month but she's not tired. And hey, the inside of the car is warm, so...] No. No, can we just...let's just go.
I'll hear them coming, Abi. No one is going to find us, okay? I promise. [Sam can't help it. Abi had been there for him, so he can't just let her sit and quietly stew. He reaches across to squeeze her hand gently.] We knew you'd make it, knew you'd be okay. I just wish we could have gotten to you sooner.
[The squeeze is gentle but it takes physical effort to keep from jumping in surprise or from jerking away from it. It's just so odd, being touched after all of this time.]
I'm okay. [She tells him just like she'd told Bobby.] I'm not hurt, so...
Well just because you lie doesn't mean I do. I'm fine. [They fed her, they didn't beat her and they didn't let her freeze to death. For being kidnapped for the past month, she thinks that's pretty good.]
Maybe you should stop lying to Bobby. [She's not sure where this sudden anger came from but she can't quell it. Can't even bring herself to apologize like she had earlier.]
[He's used to being snapped at when the source of anger is elsewhere. It's all right. Sam keeps driving.] You need to get mad at someone, get mad at me. Get it out now because Bobby has been beating himself up every second since you were taken.
You've got every right to be. [Sam had gone out and torn through three cars after his shift, furious about what had been stolen from him. He knows. He gets it.] Do what you have to, all right? [Only don't do it in front of Bobby. He's not sure the old hunter could bear it if she did.]
I can'-. I don't know...I don't even know why! [It's like she's fidgety in her own skin and the only response she can come up with is to be angry about it.]
[Sam pulls over a few blocks away from the motel. He pops the trunk and tugs her out of the car.] You know when I was turned, I was mad at everything. Everyone. Dean thought I was mad at him because he couldn't stop the wolf from getting to me, even though I wasn't.
Your Dad dragged me outside and gave me this. [He presses a crowbar into her hands and points her at a tree.] I don't have a yard of junkers for you to tear into..
[She bounces the weight of the crowbar in her hands, curling her fingers around the cold metal and sniffling, try to stop the impending flow of tears. It's just too much emotion all at once and she can't-
It takes all of her strength to keep from just tearing into the car. She stalks over to the tree, swinging against the wood as hard as she can. It actually makes her angry, the way the wood refuses to give underneath the metal in her hands.
She only swings for a few minutes before she drops the crowbar, moving back to the trunk and grabbing the shotgun instead, cocking it and sending a round into the wood of the same tree. Much better.
The bark explodes and Abi hiccups, reloading through a haze of tears.]
[He doesn't blink at the shots. Sam lets her get it out, only moving to take the shotgun when her finger keeps clicking on the trigger and nothing happens.] Abi. Hey, you're out of ammo.

Stick with Sam. I'll find you, kid.

Dad, it's not your fault. I'm okay. I shouldn't have snapped at you. [And she's not lying, she is okay...mostly. Physically, anyway.]
Do you want to talk to Sam?

Just.. don't do it to him. He's been half out of his mind since you were taken away.
