Who: Everyone What: Oktoberfest, the beer version Where: The large building in the park When: September 27 to October 4 Warnings: Alcohol and all the havoc it may bring.
Erk was in the very important process of combining three things into a very bad combination.
First was the hit over the loss of Subaru. She was always around when he needed her and now, when he needed her, she was gone. He had slept in far too long that day and went down for a somber lunch.
Second was the fact that the water he had lunch with led him to the festivities. He was now drunk as a skunk. What could possibly make this worse?
Oh right. He's trying to play darts. And, true to the combination, he missed the board completely and put a dart in the wall about six inches away from someone's head. "Well maaaybe if ya didn't sit so close to thh' board, that wouldn' happen!"
"Pfft, whatever, you're not my dad," he said dismissively. The hand holding the dart waved wildly to accentuate his point, and one of the darts flew out of his hand. Through sheer dumb luck, that dart hit a triple 17.
Erk looked at his hand that was now no longer holding a dart, looked at the board, and let out a laugh. "Ha! See? Th' hell do you know."
On the plus side, there was no longer a dart in his hand. On the other side, his drink was.
Ginko was. Having a reeeeally good time. Are you having as good a time as he is? I don't know if you are. Because really, he was having such a-- okay, nevermind.
Some number of drinks into the evening, Ginko's good mood could also be attributed to, well, seeing so many friendly faces, and quite a few that he knew.
Cigarette perched between his fingers, he started humming to himself loudly along with the music. Then, he started mouthing along to the music. He kept standing right in front, blocking view of the musicians for some people most likely. Then--
"...Ah. I've heard thisssssonebefore," he said to whoever was sitting or standing nearby.
He started singing, not moving from where he was standing, bobbing some to the beat
