Who: Everyone What: Oktoberfest, the beer version Where: The large building in the park When: September 27 to October 4 Warnings: Alcohol and all the havoc it may bring.
Wow, coordinating movement while intoxicated was way harder when you were a quadruped... Nall assumed. He hadn't drank while in his human form but he would put good money on that bet.
Normally, alcohol wasn't the sort of thing that would draw his inherent attention... but after the building had been boarded up, his curiosity had become peaked. So when it had opened up, he'd had to go see what the fuss was about! It had been kind of embarassing asking for a saucer of beer to accomodate his form... at first. And it hadn't tasted all that great either, but he'd been determined to find out what the appeal was. So he'd asked for another... and then another... and then he found that he just didn't care about the means towards getting the beer, he was having way too much fun! There were lots of people here and just watching them was amusing

What do you mean, Raven just got here? Raven has always been here! Glasses are piling up in a corner and keep on coming. Before long, there'll be a pyramid starting!
Athrun walked over, a half-finished glass in his own hands (how did that get there?). Needless to say, he was stunned by the amount of beer that Raven had already drank.
"Hey, don't you think you've had enough?" Athrun asked. He has no interest in dealing with an alcohol poisoning while he's here.
Raven slowly turned around to meet Athrun... and nearly toppled over in the process. He wasn't officer, drunk.
"Whaddya mean, enough? I'm juuuuuust gettin' started!" With a loud cheer, he celebrated the highly drunken state he was already in and added to it a call for another drink. How did they keep showing up? More importantly, who cares? Fountain of beer!
Eliwood decided to stop in to see what all the fuss was about. Well, that and the fact that he had never been to the type of taverns that commoners attended, so he was even more curious.
Shortly upon his arrival, Eliwood was offered a beer. Being no stranger to alcoholic beverages in the past -- though he had only drunk fancy beverages at ceremonies and other similar gatherings -- he accepted it with a smile and a word of gratitude. He lifted the glass to his lips and took a drink.
It was awful!
Eliwood, being ever the gentleman, swallowed the mouthful and said nothing about it, but the beer tasted terrible to him. Was this really what commoners drank?
Eliwood looked at his glass. There was still a bit to go, and he knew it would be very rude to refuse the rest of the glass. Sighing resignedly, he took another drink from his glass.
How many tankards had he downed by now? The question was only a faint glimmer in X's mind. At some point he'd set down the mug to prevent further drinking...only to pick it up again later, when he decided he didn't want to be without it. He could well be drinking himself towards terrible harm; even that thought was only barely occurring to him.
Rather, his primary concern at the moment was kinda-sorta singing along to the foreign lyrics of whatever was being sung at the moment. X's version, though, was mostly a mish-mash of gobblygook that only vaguely matched what he was allegedly imitating. A period of observation might yield the idea that he wasn't really trying at all, and just mimicking the sounds because they sounded funny. X would occasionally stop to giggle(!), or take a sip from his mug, which didn't seem to stay empty for long.
Louise was more of a wine drinker, and beer wasn't exactly something she was used to. The first sip hadn't tasted very good, but after thr fourth or fifth, it began to improve.
It wasn't long before she was no longer keeping track. There were far more important things to do, like find Erk and make sure he was enjoying himself just as much as she was. There was no doubt in her mind that she would also find her beloved husband; these things had a way of working out, after all.
"Oh yes, very much so!" Yomiko exclaimed cheerfully. "It's so nice to see everyone out having a good time like this! It's a shame we can't do this all the time!"
Yomiko wasn't sure why she had felt compelled to return to the festivities. She had stopped by once to survey the event and found it sorely lacking in books, which would normally have been the end of it. But for some reason, her feet had led her back and she had found the formerly boarded building open for business and packed with people! So she'd stopped in and had a drink. Everyone seemed to be having so much fun that when she finished her first, she ordered a second and continued to watch the merriment.
By the end of the second (or was it third? fourth?) drink, she found herself quite unable to stop smiling and was vaguely aware that her face felt quite flushed. She was also becoming quite tired, and she wanted to return to her room and finish her latest book, but couldn't quite muster the will power to move. After all, how often did everyone on the island enjoy themselves this much!
Athrun was continuing his self-appointed patrol of the bar, all the while avoiding having any more drinks after the first -- after all, not only was he underage, but he also had little tolerance for the taste.
As he walked by, he noticed one particular woman who seemed to be more than a little tipsy. He came to a stop by Yomiko, and asked, "Excuse me, but are you feeling all right?"
Yomiko turned to meet the look of a young man she didn't recognize. She paused a moment before responding, trying to remember if she'd spoken with him before and ultimately coming up blank.
Athrun wasn't sure he bought it. Letting it slide for now, he replied, "Me? I'm doing well." Athrun was tempted to ask her how much she's drank so far, but he realized that she probably wouldn't be able to tell him. Instead, he settled for, "Are you drinking responsibly?"

"Nall should drink and drive responsibly~"

"What's 'driving', Mokona?" he asked, smiling. "Is that another word for flying? I've never heard it before!"

There was something else about driving, but Mokona had forgotten what. Silly Mokona.

Naturally, he didn't notice Eliwood.
