No joke: A Chinese girl has been laughing nonstop for more than 12 years.

The mysterious mirth started when Xu Pinghui had a fever when she was 8 months old. Her giggles have now become so uncontrollable that she's lost the ability to speak.

"We feel even sadder than if she were crying," said her father.
