In the friends feed of my LJ friend from Toronto I found a post revealing that fake. It was staged. Same victim woman wearing different outfit in different areas and scenes. Plus her profile from some social network.

Those images are enough to make me more curious about the situation, but I don't see them as proof of anything. I think the next thing I might do is look up the AP photographer credited on the picture in the Times.
