Yeah, I think the language Kanno uses in that is Russian. My mother speaks the language and was all over-joyed at the intros to the show way back when, so.

Movies in heads are awesome :D Are you intending on making the movie yourself, or selling it to a studio?

The thing I find most interesting about the bits of Russian in those OPs (and a couple of other songs), as someone who knows absolutely none, is the unfamiliar phonemes - sounds whose making I can only guess at.

I knew someone who said that it wasn't Russian, or he thought it might be Russian with a strong accent from a Baltic state, because he "knew Russian and that doesn't sound like what they taught".

I plan to make it myself - very little of it requires major effects, I just need to cast it and work out a couple of things. It's the possible crucifixion that worries me.

I think the "default" gender on LJ tends to be female. I know I've personally been guilty of assuming people are women unless they say otherwise >.>

I have a number of friends I've made through LJ - two of them are my current roommates - and I have to note the lion's share are women.
