I think its no longer having to deal with people asking for impossible (or at least mostly not-quite-legal-under-federal-law) things, along with no longer working for a bank and having to deal with being the target of the hatred of banks these days.

people are much nicer here than back East. Just yesterday at Northgate Mall, I had nice conversations with people I didn't even know, mostly due to my iPhone and the One Bus Away app so I could tell them when their bus would arrive.
