Another friend of mine came up with it to replace 'fat guy'. It's not a 'fat positive' term, it's a reaction to fat-bashers.

It's very evocative of the concept of starting out and introducing yourself to people, despite the fact it's also a reference to the circularity of life.

I'm sort of surprised more people didn't use it.

well, I got a case of dishydrotic eczema two weeks in, which was not very fun, but now that my skin has grown back I'm pretty happy to be here.

I think it was a good change for me.
