Yesterday was an awful no good rotten day. By the end of it I was beyond exhausted, stressed out, cranking, and generally done with life. I was in tears and just wanted comfort. You're welcome to crash on our couch for a couple of days, though Tallahassee isn't nearly as exciting as D.C., Montevideo, or even Boston. OTOH, we have cute cats.

I'd say it sounds like you really don't want to go to Uruguay, so don't.

And that if I were around I'd give you a big hug and try to make you laugh. Which I'm guessing wouldn't be too hard because you're generally disposed to do so, it seems.

I don't think I'm qualified to give advice of any sort right now. Sorry. I can, however, offer a third-party emotional Heimlich and prayer for a restful, relaxing vacation, whatever you end up doing. I am sorry about your crappy day yesterday, but yay for lots of sleep in one's own bed. Love you!
