Today is being a long day. I can't believe it is still afternoon. Then again I did get up at 3:30 and didn't really sleep last night. Always makes for a long day. At lleast now  Iam at the hotel for the night. It is snowing outside and by the time I am finished with this it will be dark out side. I plan on going back to my room. I am having a really hard time with this entry. I feel like it was written by an impostor. Please tell me that you were drunk, or your keyboard was acting up beyond all reason, or you hadn't slept in four days when you wrote it. Or something equally valid beyond all contestation.

I really want to learn to knit cables, too. There's this adorable, cabled newsboy cap in one of the Stitch 'N Bitch books, and I'd love to try my hand at it. Incidentally, I don't suppose you have any of those books? I thought of a project for you, should you wish it, and it's in Stitch 'N Bitch Nation.

Have you gotten your new computer yet?

I am sorry. I was very, very tired and simply didn't care that day. My mom commented on it too. Ever notice how being very tired is often worse than being drunk? And yet we are not allowed to work drunk yet tired is not a problem.

I don't have any of the Stitch 'N Bitch books but I have seen them. They are easily accessible at the library. I still haven't had time to figure out how to cable but it doesn't look too hard. After the new year... What's the project? You are NOT getting it by Christmas.

Writing this on my new computer. Still figuring it out.

Eh, it's okay. Sorry I was so anal about it. And yes, I have definitely noticed that and considered the irony. I actually think I once saw an article about how regular sleep deprivation could have far more detrimental effects than the occasional bout of drunkenness. At least as far as motor skills and other such delicate matters are concerned.

Well, the project in question does involve cabling, should you desire an opportunity to learn. It's the "Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers", pages 196-199. Alternately, the very next project ("Belt de Jour", p. 200-202) also involves cabling and is cute and fun-looking, and I should be very happy to receive it as well. So. You can take your pick. As for timing...meh. You're probably not getting your Christmas present from me 'til I go visit you at the end of January, because I am just that on top of things ( ... )
