Manos del Uruguay is beautiful. I would love to try working with it sometime, but it's so darn expensive. How about a subtle pattern of diamond outlines or some such running lengthwise down the scarf? Simple, not overwhelming, but there.... Or maybe you could knit it on the bias, or do a clapotis...?

They don't have to be Noro, although I do like the multiple colours. Blues, greens, and reds are always my favourites. If they're 100% wool, though, can I request that it be processed wool? Raw wool tends to give me itchies.

*laugh* Enabling you? Gee, some friends we are....

No, I am not glad that I live far away from you. I'm glad Jesse and Dawn are moving back. That will be lots of fun for all of you, I'm sure.

I'm really sorry about your miserable pre-Christmas. You should definitely get some tea and ice cream and try to relax and enjoy your evening.

The scarf I just did is a 1/1 rib. I quite like it and manos would look good. It lays flat and is thick and cushy and shows off color changes. I think Noro would be a bit itchy on arms. The project sure sounds pretty. Thanks, thanks, thanks for the black beans and rice.
