In some ways first year grad school is much better than first year undergrad. For one thing I am writing my paper in McMenamin's while drinking a Rubinator. Definitely better this way. Oooooh food just showed up.

Pua I promise I will call you soon. This paper is due at midnight, it has my full attention right now.

No worries; I understand completely. How'd the paper go?

You almost make me want to give grad school another go. Maybe I could get some tips from you on making it work better.

What is a Rubinator?

It went OK.

Now, how anything I have written could make you want to go back to grad school, I have no idea. I most certainly could not give you any tips. I am struggling my way through.

A Rubinator is half Ruby Red (a grapefruit red) and half Terminator Stout. It's about the only beer at McMenamin's I like.

Only okay? I'm sorry.

It's a disease, I tell you. I hate school, I loathe homework, and I am SO over the whole academic thing; but I am occasionally stricken with fits of nostalgia that make going back sound almost appealing. Plus, there's the whole issue of that unfinished degree....

Now that sounds interesting. And it's the only beer at McMenamin's that you like? I did not expect to hear that, given how fond you are of McMenamin's.

We finished on the wire (at 1am) and I had been up since five am for work. It was a group paper and a bit of a challenge. I think we did alright and it is only 10% of our grade. It was a good evaluation of how we really work together. One of our members was MIA for most of it, annoying. So we are evaluating the experience and seeing how we can do better on the next project which about half our grade.

I'm actually not a huge fan of McMenamin's they just are open until midnight and have Wi-Fi. They do have some good food. Most of their beers are pretty hoppy and I am not a big fan of hoppy beers. This is a challenge in the NW. But I do like the Ruby and the Terminator but they are better together. Sometime I'll take you and you can try them.
